Overview
Established in 1996, CTPM - The Centre for Australasian TPM & Lean has evolved into a team of Improvement Coaches who assist enterprises from a range of industries throughout Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia to strive for TPM & Operational Excellence in our divisions of business: TPM & Operational Excellence in Industry; and Business Improvement in Services. Our Head Office is located in Wollongong NSW and is supported by satellite offices throughout Australia and New Zealand. We also have partnerships in Indonesia, Thailand and China to assist in servicing our international clients.

January 1996 |
The Centre for TPM (Australasia) established as an outcome of the first conference dedicated to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in Australasia held in Sydney in 1995. |
November 1997 |
First 5-day live-in Leadership / Instructors Course was conducted with the aim to further develop the internal capability of sites to become self-sufficient. To date there has been 364 personnel from Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Indonesia, India and Saudi Arabia who have completed the course. |
1998 |
Launched TPM3 as Australasian version of TPM |
2002 |
Established the 5 Level Milestone Excellence Award supported by a Milestone Assessment Process, to assist sites on their Improvement journey to Operational Excellence. To date there has been 43 awards issued to 19 sites including two Level 5 awards. |
2006 |
Changed name to CTPM and re-launched TPM3 as an Australasian version of Lean & TPM |
May 2007 |
Obtained official status as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to deliver the nationally accredited qualification in Cert III & IV in Competitive Manufacturing (now known as Competitive Systems and Practices). |
May 2007 |
The first Level 5 award of the 5 Level Milestone Excellence Awards presented to Banpu Open Cut Coal Mine in Lampang, Thailand. |
January 2011 |
Accepted on the Approved Provider List for delivery of nationally recognised training under the NSW Strategic Skills Program and NSW Apprenticeship & Traineeship Training Program. As a result conducted numerous part qualification short courses to organisations throughout NSW from 2011 to 2014 when the program was brought to an end. |
July 2011 |
Awarded its first nationally recognised qualification Certificate to Carmine Caruccio at Sugar Australia in Glebe NSW. Carmine completed his MSA41108 Certificate IV in Competitive Manufacturing qualification by competently completing 10 Units of Competency. |
September 2012 |
Granted on 18 September 2012 by Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) a RTO registration renewal for a further 5 years under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011. |
December 2014 |
The second Level 5 award of the 5 Level Milestone Excellence Awards presented to PT Kitadin (Banpu Company) Tandung Mayang Open Cut Coal Mine in Bontang, Indonesia. |
January 2016 |
Accepted and currently hold a Smart and Skilled contract to be an approved training provider for the NSW Department of Industry to deliver Smart and Skilled Targeted Priorities Prevocational and Part Qualifications throughout NSW. |
January 2017 |
Launched the introduction of a further two divisions of the business to evolve with the ever changing Australasian market place. Along with the TPM & Operational Excellence in Industry division, we have also created a Business Improvement in Services division and an 360 Enterprise Innovation division. |
August 2017 |

2018 |
Growth in our Business Improvement in Services division with a number of Service clients coming on board to undertake improvement training focused on Lean principles. Clients included Coleman Greig Lawyers (Law Firm), Internetrix (IT Company), IMB Bank, Mercer (Super Administration Company), and Peoplecare (Health Insurance). |

Launched a new CTPM Site Subscription offering that provides a comprehensive range of organised support material for your TPM & Operational Excellence improvement journey.
